November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Lung cancer awareness is essential to promoting early detection, prevention and support for those affected by the disease. As one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide, lung cancer often goes undiagnosed until it reaches advanced stages, making awareness and education vital.  We encourage people to recognise warning signs such as persistent cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, and to seek medical advice early.

During Lung Cancer Awareness Month, we urge you to find out if you are eligible for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. This is not just for current smokers; eligibility is based on a combination of your age and lifetime smoking history.
